history

The castle built by the Lords of Leineck was mentioned in 1331, and in 1435 the Lorch Monastery bought the castle, which then presumably served the Abbots of Lorch as a summer residence. In 1603 the castle became dilapidated and fell into disrepair, so that today only small remnants of the wall remain in the north corner.
