Burton C. Bell
Burton Christopher Bell (born February 19, 1969 in Houston , Texas , USA ) is a singer, songwriter, guitarist and keyboardist. Bell is the front man of the metal band Fear Factory . His singing style is considered influential and innovative in that he was one of the first great singers to mix clear singing with rough singing.
biography
Bell has a fraternal twin brother named Ben, who is also a musician and lives in Huntsville . Burton C. Bell collects Star Trek characters in his spare time .
On some recordings he was a guest singer or singer on the album Plastic Planet by GZR , which was released in 1995. Due to his obligations to Fear Factory, he no longer worked as a singer on GZR Black Science's second album . In 2001 he recorded a cover version of Ministrys Burning inside with Static-X .
After Fear Factory disbanded in 2002, Bell founded “Ascension of the Watchers” with John Bachdel (Fear Factory's tour keyboardist). With "Ascension of the Watchers" Bell released the EP Iconoclast in 2005 , which was distributed exclusively on the Internet. In the meantime, until the reunification of Fear Factory, he worked as a painter and painted the houses of friends and acquaintances.
In October 2006, he announced on the Ascension of the Watchers website, “I have had to focus on Fear Factory for a while, but 2007 is all about Ascension of The Watchers.” “ I've been focusing on Fear Factory for a while must, but in 2007 my attention is Ascension of The Watchers. ”).
In 2007 Ascension of The Watchers signed a deal with Ministry's frontman Al Jourgensen for his label 13th Planet Records. The album “Numinosum” will be released on February 22, 2008 and shows Bell from a rather unexpected side. In addition to enormous use of synthesizers , he has now also integrated singer-songwriter cross-references into his solo program.
Burton Bell was in the music video Smells Like Teen Spirit by grunge band Nirvana .
