The industrialist -

The Industrialist is the ninth studio album of American Metal - band Fear Factory . The album was released on June 1, 2012 in Germany and on June 5, 2012 in the USA and internationally.

Emergence

The album was like the previous album Mechanize in the Surplus Studios in California Van Nuys , a district of Los Angeles , recorded , produced and mastered . A drum machine was used for the album :

“For years people wouldn't believe that we weren't using a drum computer. Now we've used one and no one believes us again. "

The album was created exclusively with the participation of Burton C. Bell and Dino Cazares as well as co-producer Rhys Fulber . Although a new bassist and a new drummer joined the band in early 2012 with Matt DeVries and Mike Heller, they are not yet listed in the booklet as band members. The album is a concept album that tells a story that singer Burton C. Bell wrote:

"The album is a futuristic tale of an automaton, striving to survive by fighting for its existence within a desperate world. The lyrics tell the story while the music takes our industrial roots and blends them more perfectly than ever with our metal edge. And all without losing the sound that makes FEAR FACTORY a machine of sonic devastation. "

- Burton C. Bell

reception

Conny Schiffbauer awarded eight out of ten possible points in Rock Hard magazine . The Industrialist sounds more diverse than its predecessor. The “pure metal blast” will be reduced a little in favor of electro , industrial and noise sounds, and there will also be “more space for dark, dramatic melodies”. The album, along with the new releases by Six Feet Under and Great White, reached 15th place in the editorial rating.
