Extraction and presentation
Butyric acid isopropyl ester can be obtained by reacting butyric acid with propylene in the presence of concentrated sulfuric acid at 125 ° C in a closed tube or from butyric acid and isopropyl alcohol in the presence of hydrochloric acid or p-toluenesulfonic acid.
