César Aparecido Rodrigues (born  October 24, 1974 in São Paulo ) is a Brazilian football player and coach .

Career

In the club

César began his career in 1992 with CA Juventus , a rather smaller team. But the team kept getting better and better, until they were at the top of the Brazilian league in 1994 . This accumulated a lot of money for the team, but it was stolen. César is said to have been involved because he disclosed information about the delivery of the money. He was sentenced to five years and four months in prison for this. In 1998 he was released due to the commitment of AD São Caetano , who signed him a year before his prison sentence was up and loaned him to Barbarense . When he returned to São Caetano in 1999, he quickly rose to become a key player and later even captain of that team. With César's help, the team reached the final of the Brazilian Cup 2000, for which César was rewarded with appearances in the Brazilian national team . He stayed there until the summer of 2001. At the beginning of the 2001/02 season he ventured abroad and hired the traditional Italian club Lazio Rome , where he quickly became an important player.

On January 31, 2006 Lazio Roma loaned César to league rivals Inter Milan , but he could not prevail. However, since his contract with Lazio ended, he signed a contract with Inter Milan. César was immediately loaned out again and returned to Corinthians São Paulo in August 2006 in his Brazilian homeland . But it didn't last long there either and he quickly turned his back on home to join a Serie A club . In January 2007 he signed a contract with AS Livorno to compensate for the departure of César Prates . This had a six-month term until June.

In the summer of 2007, he inevitably returned to Inter Milan, where a renewed loan or a change of César was sought, which failed. Surprisingly, he still comes to a few missions in which he has performed well so far.

Inter Milan did not extend the contract, which ran until the end of June 2008, so that César was left without a club on July 1, 2008. In November of that year he joined Bologna FC until the end of the 2008/09 season. After his contract was not renewed at the end of the season, the Brazilian was without a club for several months. In October 2009, the third division AS Pescina Valle del Giovenco announced the commitment of the midfield player.

In the national team

The dominance of Roberto Carlos on the left made it difficult for César to make further accents after his debut in the Brazilian national team . One of his personal successes in the national team was his nomination for the 2001 Confed Cup .
