Council of Southern Africa Football Associations ( COSAFA ; German about the Council of Football Associations of Southern Africa ) has been a regional football association of the Confédération Africaine de Football since 1992 . It has 14 member associations from southern Africa and one associate member.
The headquarters of the association is in Gaborone in Botswana . Since 2008 there has been an additional administrative office in Johannesburg , South Africa .
The president is Suketu Patel from the Seychelles .

In order to serve the goal of promoting youth and women's football, COSAFA regularly organizes tournaments for U20 selection teams of its members. Between 1998 and 2002 a championship was held three times for U23 selections and between 1994 and 2002 three times for U17 selections.
