Cala Cala is a country town in the La Paz department in the South American Andean state of Bolivia .

Location in the vicinity

Cala Cala is the third largest municipality in the district ( Bolivian : Municipio ) Sica Sica in the province of Aroma and is located at an altitude of 3832  m . To the north-west of Cala Cala extends the wide plain of the Bolivian highlands, and to the east of the place rises the Serranía de Sicasica , a north-south oriented mountain range between La Paz and Cochabamba , which rises to more than 4500 m.

Cala Cala is located on the Bolivian Altiplano between the Andes mountain ranges of the Cordillera Occidental in the west and the Cordillera Central in the east. From there the road continues in a south-easterly direction to the departmental capitals Oruro , Potosí and Tarija and to Bermejo on the Argentine border.
