Calle Carlsson (born May 2, 1972 in Stockholm ) is a former Swedish ice hockey player who has spent two seasons in the Elitserien and one in the German ice hockey league .
Career
Calle Carlsson began his career in 1989 in the Stockholm suburb of Huddinge , where he played five games for Huddinge IK in the 1989/90 season . In the following four years he became a regular player before he almost completely missed the 1994/95 season due to an injury. A year later he made his comeback, but he could not qualify with his team for the Kval series . In 1996, Carlsson moved him from the French Ligue Magnus to HC Reims.
He then signed a contract with AIK Ishockey in Sweden's top league, the Elitserien . In his two years Carlsson missed the play-offs with his team . In 1999 he joined the Nottingham Panthers from the Ice Hockey Superleague . There Carlsson was the best point defender of his team. He spent the 2000/01 season with the Iserlohn Roosters in the German Ice Hockey League . With the newcomer Carlsson reached 15th place. The next year he returned to Nottingham . In 2002 he signed with the Sheffield Steelers , but even here he only stayed one season. For the 2003/04 season he joined the Panthers from Nottingham for the third time and won the Challenge Cup in 2004 . After three successful years, he finally ended his career in 2006.
Carlsson initially remained loyal to the Panthers and worked from 2006 to 2007 as a scout and assistant coach in Nottingham.

- 2004 Challenge Cup winner with the Nottingham Panthers
