Callie Marie Hernandez (born May 24, 1988 in Jacksonville , Florida ) is an American actress .

life and career

Callie Hernandez is from Florida, where she was born the daughter of a general practitioner, and grew up in Austin , Texas. After working in New York, she now lives in Los Angeles. At the age of 14 she started playing the cello and was part of various bands and the school orchestra. Before acting, Hernandez played the cello in several bands. She made her acting debut in 2013 with a small role in the exploitation film Machete Kills . After moving to New York, she appeared in a guest role in From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series , and in a supporting role in Sin City 2: A Dame to Kill For .

In 2014 she was supposed to take on one of the leading roles in the series Members Only , which was discontinued before the first broadcast on ABC . In 2016 she starred as Tracy in the film La La Land and also played a central role as Lisa Arlington in the horror film Blair Witch . In 2017 she appeared as Upworth in Ridley Scott's Alien: Covenant and as Anna in the mystery film The Endless . From 2016 to 2017, Hernandez was a main cast as Samantha on the series Graves . In 2018 she appeared in Millicent Sevence in the neo-noir thriller Under the Silver Lake . In 2019 she starred as Nellie O'Brien in one of the leading roles on the web series Soundtrack .
