Campi Flegrei (wine)

Under the name Campi Flegrei DOC (dt. The Campi Flegrei ) are Italian white , rosé and red wines and sparkling wines from the Metropolitan city of Naples in the Region of Campania marketed. Campi Flegrei is offered in the following types of wine:

  • Campi Flegrei Bianco : must consist of at least 50–70% of the Falanghina grape variety . A maximum of 50% other white, non-aromatic grape varieties approved for cultivation in the metropolitan city of Naples may be added.
  • Campi Flegrei Rosso : must consist of at least 50% of the grape variety Piedirosso (locally also called »Perepalummo«) and at least 30% Aglianico . A maximum of 20% other red, non-aromatic grape varieties that are approved for cultivation in the metropolitan city of Naples may be added.
