Cansei de Ser Sexy ( Portuguese for "No more desire to be sexy") is a Brazilian band whose music is largely influenced by electro and rock . They sing in both English and Portuguese .
history
Cansei de Ser Sexy were founded in 2003 in São Paulo , Brazil . At that time none of the members mastered an instrument apart from the drummer Adriano Cintra. Her name is derived from a quote from Beyoncé Knowles , who stated in an interview that she “doesn't feel like being sexy anymore”.
The band achieved significant distribution through the Brazilian music portal Trama Virtual , on whose label their first album Cansei de Ser Sexy was released in October 2005 in Brazil. In early 2006 the band signed a contract with the Sub Pop label , after which their debut album was released internationally. In the same year her first single, Let's Make Love and Listen to Death From Above, was released .
In 2007 the band was to be seen in the opening act of Gwen Stefani on their European tour.
In the computer game FIFA 08, the song Off the Hook is one of the tracks in the playlist. They are featured in the successor FIFA 09 with the song Jager Yoga and in FIFA 12 with hits Me Like A Rock .
Cansei de Ser Sexy wrote the theme song for the documentary series Gaycation , and guitarist Ana Rezende was asked in one episode by actress Ellen Page , with whom she is a personal friend, about the situation of the LGBT community in Brazil.

- The song Music Is My Hot Hot Sex appeared in an amateur Nick Haley commercial for Apple's iPod touch in September 2007 . This spot, which was cut in a short time, was such a great success on the YouTube video platform that Apple decided to buy the rights to the spot and published it itself a few weeks later.
- The song Donkey is on smartphones model Magic of manufacturer HTC installed as a demo song.
