The HTC Magic is the second series device with the Android operating system after the HTC Dream . The main difference between the two smartphones is that the HTC Magic does not have a conventional pull-out keyboard . That's why the HTC Magic is flatter and lighter.
In Germany, France, Great Britain and Spain the HTC Magic is marketed exclusively by Vodafone and it has been available in Germany since April 2009. In Italy it is also sold by other mobile operators. The HTC Magic has been available in Austria since June 2009.
By mid-August 2009, the HTC Magic had already been sold a million times.
Android version 2.2.1 has been available for HTC Magic from Vodafone (HTC Magic 32B) via over-the-air update since December 14, 2010 .
