Capistrano Francisco Heim OFM (born January 21, 1934 in Catskill , New York ) is an American religious and emeritus prelate of Itaituba .
Life
Capistrano Francisco Heim joined the order of the Franciscans , made his profession on August 22, 1963 and was ordained a priest on December 18, 1965 .
Pope John Paul II appointed him prelate of Itaituba on July 6, 1988 . The Archbishop of Goiânia , Antônio Ribeiro de Oliveira , donated him episcopal ordination on September 17th of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Benedito Domingos Vito Coscia OFM, Bishop of Jataí , and Lino Vombömmel OFM, Bishop of Santarém .
On December 8, 2010, Pope Benedict XVI. his age-related resignation.
