The Diocese of Jataí ( lat. : Dioecesis Iataiensis ) is in Brazil located Roman Catholic diocese based in Jataí in the State of Goiás .
history
The diocese of Jataí was founded on June 21, 1929 by Pope Pius XI. established with the Apostolic Constitution Sollicitido quae in omnes from cessions of territory of the Goiás diocese as the Jataí territorial prelature . The Jataí territorial prelature was subordinated to the Archdiocese of Goiás as a suffragan .
On March 26, 1956, the territorial prelature Jataí by Pope Pius XII. raised to a diocese with the Apostolic Constitution Quo aptiori and subordinated to the Archdiocese of Goiânia as a suffragan. The diocese of Jataí gave on November 25, 1961 parts of its territory to establish the territorial prelature of São Luís de Montes Belos .
