José Luiz Majella Delgado
José Luiz Majella Delgado CSsR (born October 19, 1953 in Juiz de Fora , Brazil ) is a Brazilian religious and Roman Catholic Archbishop of Pouso Alegre .
Life
José Luiz Majella Delgado joined the Congregation of the Redemptorists on 2 February 1977 and laid on 31 July 1980, the profession from. The auxiliary bishop in Itabira , Lélis Lara CSsR, ordained him a deacon on August 2, 1980 and the bishop of Barra do Piraí-Volta Redonda , Waldyr Calheiros Novaes de Novais , ordained him a priest on March 14, 1981 .
Pope Benedict XVI appointed him on December 16, 2009 Bishop of Jataí . The Archbishop of Mariana , Geraldo Lyrio Rocha , donated him episcopal ordination on February 27 of the next year ; Co- consecrators were Raymundo Damasceno Assis , Archbishop of Aparecida , and Waldyr Calheiros Novaes de Novais, Old Bishop of Barra do Piraí-Volta Redonda. As a motto he chose Per Carita Servire .
On May 28, 2014, Pope Francis appointed him Archbishop of Pouso Alegre .
