Carl Cichorius

Carl Cichorius (born September 22, 1888 in Leipzig , † September 7, 1944 in Elbing , Reichsgau Danzig-West Prussia ) was a German administrative lawyer in Prussia. Most recently he was district administrator in Elbing.

Life

Cichorius studied at the Albert-Ludwigs-University of Freiburg Law and was established in 1908 in the Corps Suevia Freiburg recipiert . From 1912 he was a trainee lawyer at various local courts and at the regional court in Breslau. Military service followed in 1914. After the First World War he was employed in the Free State of Prussia for the district administrator in Oels and the government in Breslau . In 1920 he was on the Administrator as Regierungsassessor the upper president of the province of Upper Silesia . He was appointed to the government council and in 1925/26 to the district administrator in the Elbing district. He held this position until his murder in 1944. He was also chairman of the Kreissparkasse and Oberstführer of the German Red Cross . Cichorius had been a member of the German People's Party since 1928 and a member of the National Socialist German Workers' Party from 1933 .
