Karl Friedrich Melbeck

Karl Friedrich Melbeck (born March 18, 1816 in Elberfeld (now part of Wuppertal ), † March 25, 1891 in Düsseldorf ) was a lawyer, district administrator and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Melbeck was from 1851 to 1886 district administrator of the Solingen district . In recognition of his many years of service, the cities of Dorp and Solingen awarded him honorary citizenship in the year he retired in 1886 , and he was also made honorary priest of the Solingen evangelical community. Between 1855 and 1858 and from 1889 to 1891 he was a member of the Prussian House of Representatives and in 1889 also of the Rhenish Provincial Parliament. He was married to Berthe, nee Ibach, and had two daughters. In 1857 he received the Red Eagle Order of the IV class.

From 1878 to 1881 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of Düsseldorf 3 and the German Reich Party .
