Carl Jakob Ziese
Carl Jakob Ziese (also Karl) (born November 25, 1825 in Hübenthal ; † August 27, 1868 in Kressenbach ) worked as a master organ builder in Ellingerode near Witzenhausen ( Hesse ) in the 19th century .
life and work
Carl Jakob Ziese was born as the eldest son of the organ builder Friedrich Ziese and learned organ building from him. After his father's death in 1855, he took over his workshop in Ellingerode and continued it with his brother Bernhard. In 1857 he was approved as an organ builder for Upper Hesse by the Marburg consistory . On April 25, 1859 he married Kunigunde Siebert from Spangenberg and had two children with her.
His brochures are shaped by the style of late classicism and partly follow the model of Johann Friedrich Schulze ; they then have an elevated central field with a low gable triangle and a blind arch under the pipe field, while otherwise the lateral flat fields or towers protrude above the central field.
