Carl Reinhard (actor)

Carl Reinhard (* 1763 ; † 1836 in Munich ) was a German theater actor and singer .

Life

Reinhard had his first engagement in 1787 at Klooss in Bonn and Cologne. This was followed by engagements in Schwerin , Lübeck and Braunschweig . Since 1793 he has been with Friedrich Ludwig Schröder in Hamburg . Since 1797 in Frankfurt am Main , since 1798 in Hanover . From 1803 to 1805 Reinhard were engaged by August Wilhelm Iffland at the Berlin Royal National Theater. From June 1805 Reinhard Königlich became a Bavarian court actor in Munich .

In Berlin he plays a. a. 1803 in Friedrich Schiller's plays The Piccolomini and Wallenstein's Death the role of Octavio Piccolomini and in the first performance of Shakespeare's Julius Caesar in the translation by August Wilhelm Schlegel on February 27, 1804 the role of the poet Cinna.

In 1793 Reinhard married the singer Charlotte Henriette, b. Sallbach (born in 1776 in Frankfurt an der Oder ).
