Carl Spaeter (born April 27, 1862 in Stadtsulza , † December 23, 1930 in Koblenz ) was a German industrial clerk and industrialist.

He was the son of the secret commercial councilor Friedrich Albert Carl Spaeter and a wholesale merchant who founded the Carl Spaeter company as an iron wholesaler in Koblenz .

He was president of the Koblenz Chamber of Commerce and made a significant contribution to channeling the Moselle . In 1897 he founded a branch in Duisburg , which was run by his partner and later industrialist Peter Klöckner . Today Duisburg is the headquarters of the German Spaeter Group. In 1929, Spaeter was registered as a commercial councilor in Hanover , Schleidenstrasse 4 .

With the Rombacher Hüttenwerke in Rombas , Spaeter created a group that maintained a considerable industrial base. He was the deputy chairman of the board of directors of Carl Spaeter and Wilhelm Ostwald - Unternehmens AG zu Glarus in Switzerland . He was also a member of the supervisory board of AG Harter Kohlenwerke ( Enzenreith , Vienna ), Veitscher Magnesitwerke AG (today RHI AG ) ( Veitsch , Vienna) and a deputy supervisory board member of the steam shipping company for the Lower and Middle Rhine (today Cologne-Düsseldorfer ) in Düsseldorf .
