Carl von Meixner

Carl von Meixner (born May 10, 1814 in Nymphenburg , † September 1, 1880 in Munich ) was a German administrative lawyer in the Kingdom of Bavaria . As a member of parliament , he sat in the Bavarian Chamber of Deputies , in the Reichstag (North German Confederation) and in the customs parliament .

Life

Carl von Meixner studied law at the University of Landshut . In 1821 he became active in the Corps Palatia . In 1834 he joined the administration of the German Customs Union . First he was a Bavarian customs controller in the Kingdom of Saxony , then until 1840 assessor at the General Customs Administration in Munich. From 1840 to 1859 he was the Bavarian representative at the central office of the Zollverein in Berlin . He was then from 1859 to 1866 Ministerialrat in the Bavarian State Ministry for Trade and from 1866 Bavarian General Customs Administrator.

From 1869 to 1871 Carl von Meixner was a member of the Chamber of Deputies for the Pfaffenhofen constituency and from 1868 to 1870 he was a member of the Customs Parliament as a member of the Upper Bavaria constituency 3 ( Aichach , Friedberg , Dachau , Schrobenhausen ). He represented the political direction of the Bavarian Patriot Party .
