Carlo Siliotto

Carlo Siliotto (born January 10, 1950 in Rome ) is an Italian composer .

Carlo Siliotto first studied guitar and violin and improved his knowledge by playing for the Conservatory of Music in Rome.

He was a founding member of the band Canzoniere del Lazio , which played pop music with traditional Italian music.

In 1984 Siliotto decided to specialize in composing film music .

To date, 2006, he has composed the soundtrack for 76 films . He received commissions for well-known directors such as Roger Young , Robert Markowitz , Clive Donner , Joseph Sargent , Carlo Carlei and Uli Edel .

In 2018 he was appointed to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences , which awards the Oscars every year.

In recent years he has mainly written the music for Bible and period films .
