Carlos Carranza , full name Carlos María Carranza , (born November 30, 1928 ) is a former Uruguayan football player .

Career

society

Carranza played at club level for at least 1956 for Club Atlético Cerro . In that season he finished third with the team in the overall table of the Primera División . He scored 18 of his team's 42 goals and became the top scorer . In addition, there are sources that assign him a cadre from 1951 to 1958.

National team

Carranza was a member of the senior national team of Uruguay , for which he completed 21 international matches between February 25, 1953 and April 1, 1957, in which he scored one goal. With the Celeste he took part in the South American Championships in 1953 , 1955 , 1956 and 1957 . In 1956 he won the title with Uruguay. He was also used in 1956 at the Copa del Atlántico against Brazil, and in the same year at the Copa Lipton and the Copa Newton .
