Carlos Carsolio
Carlos Carsolio (born October 4, 1962 in Mexico City ) is a Mexican mountaineer . He is the first Mexican and the fourth person ever to have managed to climb all eight-thousanders , i.e. all 14 mountains on earth with a height of over 8,000 meters . It took him less than eleven years. When he was standing on his 14th eight-thousander, he was 33 years old, making him the youngest 14 eight-thousander to graduate; Carsolio was undercut in 2002 by the Spaniard Alberto Iñurrategi , who in turn has meanwhile been undercut several times (see the list of climbers who have climbed all eight-thousanders ). The Polish mountaineer Wanda Rutkiewicz was killed on the tour up the Kangchenjunga in 1992 .
Carsolio works as a motivational speaker and entrepreneur .
