Carole Sharpless

Carole Marie Sharpless (born September 1, 1971 in Laurel ) is a former American triathlete .

Career

The swimmer, who was successful in her youth, started her triathlon over the sprint distance in 1996 and in 2002 for the first time on the Ironman distance. From 2004 she started as a professional athlete and in November she was second behind the British Bella Comerford at the Ironman Florida.

In 2007 she had a serious bicycle accident and ended her professional career. Carole Sharpless now lives in Boulder (Colorado) .
