Carolin Dej (born January 5, 1989 in Unna ) is a German soccer player .
Career
societies
Dej started playing football in her youth at BV Westfalia Wickede. Via SpVg Berghofen , SG Massen and Hombrucher SV , she finally moved to SG Wattenscheid 09 in the 2nd Bundesliga in summer 2006 . Together with the team, she was promoted to the 1st Bundesliga as champions of the northern season, where she made her debut on August 18, 2007 in the home game against VfL Wolfsburg and played a total of 16 games.
For the 2008/09 season she moved to SG Lütgendortmund , but left it again after a year and signed a two-year contract with Bayer 04 Leverkusen for the 2009/10 season. With Leverkusen Dej became champions of the 2nd Bundesliga South in the same year and rose to the 1st Bundesliga. On September 5, 2010, the midfielder scored her first Bundesliga goal in a 3-2 win against VfL Wolfsburg . At the end of the 2012/13 season , she left Leverkusen and joined the second division club 1. FC Köln . Dej left this after only one season and moved to the second team from Bayer Leverkusen. Again just one season later she returned to the second Cologne team. After SpVg Berghofen was promoted to the Regionalliga West in 2017, Dej moved to the club of her youth for two years in 2018. From 2020 she joined VfL Bochum.
National team
Dej played a total of 19 games for the youth national teams of the DFB and was last active in 2011 for the U-23 juniors , but did not play a game there.
Private
Carolin Dej lived with her former teammate Lynn Mester in a shared apartment in Leverkusen and completed an apprenticeship as an office clerk. In 2013 she moved to Cologne. Carolin Dej has been studying media economics at the Rheinische Fachhochschule Köln since 2016.
