Caroline Junghanns (* 1985 in Dresden ) is a German actress .

Life

After graduating from high school, Caroline Junghanns completed her acting studies at the State University for Music and Performing Arts in Stuttgart from 2004 to 2008 . During her studies she performed at the Schauspiel Stuttgart and at the Wilhelma-Theater in Stuttgart .

From 2008 until the end of the 2012/13 season she was a permanent member of the ensemble at the Schauspielhaus Chemnitz . There she appeared in many roles in the classical theater repertoire. She played u. a. the Gretchen im Urfaust (Director: Enrico Lübbe ), Solveig in Peer Gynt (Director: Claudia Bauer ), the Polly in Brecht / Weill's Die Dreigroschenoper (Director: Philip Tiedemann ), and Jessica in The Dirty Hands (Director: Kay Neumann ). She also worked there with the director Schirin Khodadadian (as Lisbeth in The Cold Heart by Gerhild Steinbuch ) and with Christian Brey .

At the beginning of the 2013/14 season she moved to the Schauspiel Stuttgart under the direction of Armin Petras . Her roles in Stuttgart included Liesbeth in The Cold Heart by Wilhelm Hauff (Director: Armin Petras), Spelunken Jenny in Brecht / Weill's Die Dreigroschenoper (Director: Sebastian Baumgarten ), Mascha in Die Möwe (Director: Martin Laberenz ), Hermia in The Fairy-Queen (Director: Calixto Bieito ) and Regan in König Lear (Director: Claus Peymann ).

Caroline Junghanns has been a member of the drama ensemble at the Schauspiel Hannover since the 2019/20 season .

In addition to her theater work, Caroline Junghanns also appeared in front of the camera for a number of film and television productions.

In the third season of the TV series In all Friendship - The Young Doctors (2017), she took on one of the main roles of the episode as a nice, reserved young woman who tends to sweat profusely. In the television film The Undertaker - Death pays all debts (first broadcast: June 2019), she played the childhood friend of the title character Lisa ( Anna Fischer ).

In the ZDF - "Herzkino" series, Junghanns plays in the television film A Summer in the Algarve , which will first be broadcast in October 2019, as Natalie, the best friend of the main female character.

After working in Dresden, Chemnitz and Stuttgart, Caroline Junghanns has lived in Hanover since 2019 .
