Casey McKee (* 1976 in Phoenix , Arizona ) is an American artist .

life and work

McKee's work has been shown in numerous exhibitions, for example the Village People in the Kunstverein Wolfsburg , Human Conditions in the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art in Scottsdale , Arizona, and UN / FAIR TRADE - The Art of Justice in the Neue Galerie Graz at the Universalmuseum Joanneum in Austria Graz . He is represented by Galerie Greulich in Frankfurt am Main and by Helium Cowboy in Hamburg .

McKee works mostly in a mixed technique, a combination of photography and painting . First he takes a photograph and uses photographic emulsion to transfer it to a surface (for example, linen, wood, handcrafted paper, etc.) McKee spends most of his time working with oil paint to bring out the desired aspects of the object.
