Oscar Loya (born June 12, 1979 in Indio , California ) is an American musical actor and singer .

Life

Loya grew up in Southern California, the youngest of five children . After brief experience in fashion design and as a stylist , he moved to New York in 2003 and performed there in musicals and also played in Hong Kong , Taiwan , Beijing and Vienna .

Loya premiered the West Side Story in Munich in 2004 , where he also met his current partner. In 2006 Loya moved to Munich and released his debut album in 2009 . On May 16, 2009, together with music producer Alex Christensen , he represented Alex Swings as a music duo for Oscar Sings! Germany at the Eurovision Song Contest in Moscow .

At the same time, Loya is concentrating on his solo career and in 2011 brought out his album "Beast". A club and festival tour through Europe followed. In December 2012 Loya released his self-written and co-produced dance single "Learn Something New" together with the successful American producers of Citrusonic Stereophonic. From October 2012 to June 2013 Loya played the leading role in the revue SHOW ME in the Friedrichstadt-Palast in Berlin.
