On February 21, 2014, Castellavazzo merged with the municipality of Longarone. The new parish kept the name Longarone. The factions Codissago, Olantreghe and Podenzol belonged to Castellavazzo. The municipality belonged to the Comunità Montana Cadore Longaronese Zoldo and bordered directly on the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region .
