Catherine Houseaux (born December 1, 1964 ) is a French triathlete who is mainly active on the long distance.

Career

In 1994 she became vice national champion in the long distance triathlon and between 1995 and 2002 she was able to take third place in the French national championships four times.

In August 1997 and again in 2003, Catherine Houseaux was able to win the Embrunman in the French Alps - it is one of the most difficult long distance races in the world with an altitude difference of around 5000 meters.

In 2005 Catherine Houseaux came second at the Ironman France in Nice.
In 2014 she qualified for the fourth time for a starting place at the Ironman Hawaii in October, finished the race successfully as the fourth fastest French woman and finished fourth in the women 50-54 category.

At the World Long Distance Championships in June 2015 she was second in the age group 50–54.

In September 2016 she was runner- up in the Walchsee-Kaiserwinkl Challenge in the half-distance triathlon in the age group 50–54.

At the Ironman France 2018 in Nice , the 53-year-old finished twelfth in June.

Houseaux started for the Triathlon Manosque association and since 2016 for Triathl'Aix .
