Cedar Cove - The law of the heart (Original title: Cedar Cove ) is an American dramedy - television series , the American US on the same name in the original book series of the author Debbie Macomber is based. It is the Hallmark Channel's first self-produced series and focuses on the district court of the fictional town of Cedar Cove. It revolves around Olivia Lockhart's professional and personal life. The first broadcast took place on July 20, 2013. The German-language first broadcast was on March 18, 2014 on the pay TV channel Sat.1 emotions . The German Disney Channel has been broadcasting the series on free TV since January 6, 2015.
By September 2015, three seasons had been shown in full in the USA. On December 1, 2015, the broadcaster announced that the series had been canceled and that there would be no fourth season.

The plot revolves around the professional and personal problems of the magistrate Olivia Lockhart, who lives and works in the fictional town of Cedar Cove . While being nominated for federal judge in Seattle, a relationship develops between her and the editor of the local newspaper, Jack Griffiths.
