censhare is an enterprise content management system from the German manufacturer Censhare AG. It integrates media information in one system, organizes content and automates the associated processes. The system can be used for the cross-media publication of content. Contents, templates , layouts , structure and user accounts are saved and managed in a central graph database .

On December 21, 2018, DuMont Mediengruppe GmbH & Co. KG, based in Cologne , notified the Federal Cartel Office of the indirect acquisition and sole control of censhare AG. DuMont previously held a 36.5% stake in censhare.

history

Development, manufacturer

The development of the system started in 2001 and it was launched in 2002 as a CoWare server . Since version 2.0.0 the system is distributed as Censhare . In 2008, the manufacturing company CoWare AG was renamed Censhare AG . Censhare AG is headquartered in Munich and has a branch in Freiburg . There are also sales companies in the United Kingdom , France , the Netherlands , Switzerland , the USA and India .

The system is built up in individual applications and is offered up to an “all-in-one” platform for communication and marketing.

Apart from the product development, the Censhare AG is an official partner at the IDML Development (InDesign Markup Language) from Adobe Inc. involved.
