Cesare Nebbia

Cesare Nebbia (* 1536 , † 1614 ) was an Italian painter and draftsman of Roman Mannerism .

Creative period

Cesare Nebbia apprenticed to Girolamo Muziano , under whose guidance he worked on the painting of the cathedral in Orvieto . He then worked in Orvieto and Rome in the service of Popes Gregory XIII. , Sixtus V and Clemens VIII. His frescoes , paintings and drawings were mainly created between 1560 and 1610, a period of transition from the High Renaissance to the Baroque .

Cesare Nebbia is also attributed 250 drawings, of which around 100 can be documented as being made by him.
