Cesy Leonard (born November 26, 1982 in Stuttgart ) is a German artist, filmmaker, head of the planning staff of the Center for Political Beauty and co-founder of the Radical Daughters .

Career

Cesy Leonard was born in Stuttgart in 1982 as the eldest daughter of an Australian father and a German mother. Her artistic career began as a graffiti artist in Stuttgart. She was one of the few women in the Stuttgart hip-hop scene. She rapped in the women's crew "No Frills", who performed together with the bands of the "Golden Middle" (the beginnings of Chimperator Productions ). Cesy Leonard studied acting at the drama school "Der Kreis" . She had her first engagement as an actress in 2001 as a continuous role in the ARD series Fabrixx . This was followed by further engagements in TV and film.

Cesy Leonard started directing in 2010. Since 2011 she has been the head of the planning staff at the Center for Political Beauty . At the Center for Political Beauty, she heads the film department and is part of the creative core team. Since then, she and her team have repeatedly appeared with radical actions in public space.   • November 2017: “Build the Holocaust memorial right in front of Höcke's house!” The ZPS installs an offshoot of the memorial for the murdered Jews of Europe on the neighboring property of AfD politician Björn Höcke in Bornhagen, Thuringia .
  • June 2017: "Scholl 2017". With the Münchner Kammerspiele , the ZPS recruited Bavarian students who are ready to travel to a dictatorship in the spirit of the Scholl siblings or the White Rose resistance group in order to call for the overthrow of the regime with leaflets.

  • September 2015: "The Bridge". The center anchors a rescue platform for refugees in the Mediterranean.,

  • June 2015: “The dead are coming”. Artists from the center buried a Syrian woman in the Muslim part of the Berlin-Gatow cemetery and a man in Berlin-Schöneberg.
  • November 2014 Maxim-Gorki-Theater , temporarily stolen some wall crosses to draw attention to the new wall at the EU external borders and as a protest against the death of refugees at these and drive to the EU external borders Bulgaria and Greece.
