The Champion Ch-2 is a car model of the car brand Champion from Hermann-Holbein-Fahrzeugbau . It was introduced in June 1949 as the successor to the Champion Ch-1 , then revised and produced from November 1949 to June 1950. Successor of goods Champion 250 and Champion 250 S .
prototype
The prototype was presented in June 1949. A total of two vehicles were built before a revised version went into series production.
The air or fan-cooled single - cylinder two-stroke engine came from Triumph . It had 66 mm bore , 70 mm stroke , 248 cm³ displacement and made 6.5 hp at 4700 rpm. It was installed in the rear of the vehicle and drove the rear axle via a three-speed gearbox. The wheelbase was 170 cm and the track width was 120 cm. The vehicle was 260 cm long, 138 cm wide and 127 cm high with the top. It weighed 190 kg.
The open body without doors offered space for two people. Car body construction Böbel from Laupheim manufactured the body.
Production model
From the production model, 11 vehicles were built between June 1949 and June 1950.
The maximum speed was 60 km / h. The fuel consumption was given as 4 liters per 100 km.
The wheelbase remained unchanged, but the track width was reduced by 5 cm. Now the vehicle length was 280 cm, the vehicle width was 136 cm and the vehicle height with the top was still 127 cm. The curb weight was given as 220 kg and the permissible total weight as 460 kg.
