Charilaos "Charis" Pappas ( Greek Χάρης Παππάς , born May 12, 1983 in Kavala , Greece ) is a Greek football player .
Career
Pappas mostly plays in attacking midfield, according to his then 1860 sports director Miroslav Stević he can be used in various positions there.

Pappas was active as a track and field athlete in his youth , especially in the 400-meter run . On the advice of friends, he decided at the age of 18 to start playing football at a professional level, and from the summer of 2001 played for half a year for the fourth division club Orfeas Eleftheroupolis . In early 2002 he moved to the second division club Panserraikos , where he was used 20 times by the end of the year and scored one goal. In January 2003 he went to league competitor Apollon Kalamarias from Thessaloniki . In the summer of 2004, Pappas rose to the Alpha Ethniki with Apollon Kalamarias . A year later he signed a five-year deal with Olympiacos , but stayed on loan for another season in Thessaloniki. In total, Pappas played 94 times for Apollon Kalamarias and scored 24 goals. In the 2006/07 season he finally played for Olympiacos, he scored three goals in 17 appearances. This season, Pappas won the Greek championship with his club . In the summer of 2007 he moved to AEK Athens , where he was used eight times in the following season and was able to mark two goals. In the 2008/09 season he played for Skoda Xanthi , where he scored two goals in 20 games. In the summer of 2009 he left Greece and signed a one-year contract with an option for another year with the German second division club 1860 Munich . He was used in 23 league games and scored three goals. Once he was used in the DFB Cup . At the end of the season, TSV 1860 let the option lapse, so that Pappas left the club after a year and received a contract with the Greek second division club Panetolikos GFS. In the following two years he moved successively to the Greek second division clubs Panserraikos, Olympiakos Volos and Niki Volou . In the 2013/14 season, Pappas was under contract with the former Bundesliga club KFC Uerdingen 05 and played for in the Regionalliga West . In January 2014 his contract was terminated by mutual agreement and he returned to his homeland. In July 2014 he joined AO Kavala .
