Charles Carroll (born Daniel Patrick Charles Caroll on May 12, 1952 in Los Angeles , California ) is an American actor .

life and career

Charles Carroll was born in Los Angeles to a Catholic family and is of Scottish-Irish descent. He grew up in Manhattan Beach and attended Junipero Serra High School. Upon graduation, he graduated from Loyola Marymount University in 1974 with a bachelor's degree in theater. He then began his acting career in the theater, before he was seen for the first time as an actor in front of the camera in 1987. He took on his first role in the film RoboCop . This was followed by guest appearances on series such as Dallas , Melrose Place and X-Factor: The Unbelievable .

More recently, Carroll has mainly appeared as a guest actor in well-known US series, including Monk , Navy CIS , Nip / Tuck - Beauty Has Its Price , The Bridge - America or Criminal Minds . In addition to these roles, he has also appeared in a variety of films such as The Easy Bucks , Eagle Eye, Out of Control , I'm Number Four , Hidden Moon , XXx: The Return of Xander Cage, and The Moon .
