Charles Roven

Charles Roven (born August 1, 1949 in Los Angeles , California ) is an American film producer . He produced the Batman films Batman Begins , The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises and is involved in the DC Extended Universe .

Roven began his career as a freelance producer in the early 1980s. He is married for the second time. He had a child from his marriage to producer Dawn Steel .

Roven has been involved in more than 40 productions so far. In 2014, Roven received an Oscar nomination in the Best Picture category for the drama American Hustle, along with Richard Suckle , Megan Ellison and Jonathan Gordon .
