Megan Ellison

Megan Ellison , actually Margaret Elizabeth Ellison (* 1986 in San Carlos , California ) is an American film producer .

She is the daughter of Oracle founder Larry Ellison . After studying film at the USC School of Cinematic Arts , she became a film producer like her older brother David Ellison . After her first successes with the film True Grit , she received higher funds from her father's fortune for her production company Annapurna Pictures in order to generously finance further film projects.

In 2014 , Ellison received two Oscar nominations in the “ Best Picture ” category : Together with Spike Jonze and Vincent Landay for Her and together with Richard Suckle , Charles Roven and Jonathan Gordon for the drama American Hustle . She received another Oscar nomination in 2017 together with Paul Thomas Anderson , Daniel Lupi and JoAnne Sellar for the film The Silk Thread .
