Charlotte Mitchell (born August 23, 1994 in Calgary ) is a Canadian ski jumper .
Career
Mitchell, who started ski jumping at the age of seven and starts for the Altius Nordic Ski Club, made her international debut at the Ski Jumping Continental Cup on December 13, 2008 in Park City . With two 32nd places, she narrowly missed the points. A few days later she won two points in Vancouver with two 30th places, which brought her 83rd place overall. In August 2009 she started three summer competitions in Bischofsgrün and Pöhla, but clearly missed the points. Also in January 2011 it was difficult for her to reach the second round and thus the points in Schonach in the Black Forest and Hinterzarten . Only in Braunlage and Ljubno did she achieve significantly better results. She achieved two top 20 placements for the first time in Ljubno.
At the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships 2011 in Otepää she reached the 29th place in the individual. In two FIS competitions on her home hill in Canada Olympic Park in Calgary, she finished fourth and sixth a year later. In March 2013 she came back to the Continental Cup squad and jumped straight back to 22nd place in Oberwiesenthal . After an 11th place in Örnsköldsvik , she was able to reach the top 10 ranks in the second and third competitions there for the first time with a tenth place each. In the end, with a total of 85 points, she reached 11th place in the overall ranking.
In 2012, Mitchell was one of the female ski jumpers who sued and won before the international sports court against the exclusion of women's ski jumping from the 2014 Winter Olympics .
