Guldemond has been participating in the Ticket to Ride World Snowboard Tour competitions since 2001 . He reached in March 2006 in slopestyle at the Burton US Open in Stratton Mountain Resort with the second place his first podium placement. In January 2007, he finished third in slopestyle at the Honda Session in Vail . At the beginning of the 2007/08 season he took second place in slopestyle at the Abominable Snowjam on Mount Hood . This season followed with a victory in slopestyle at the Australian Open in Perisher Blue , a second place at the Burton European Open in Laax and, as in the previous year, a third place at the Honda Session in Vail . In the 2008/09 season he came third in slopestyle at the Burton New Zealand Open in the snow park, in big air competition at the X-Trail Jam in Tokyo and in slopestyle at the Winter Dew Tour in Northstar-at-Tahoe . In February 2009 he won the X-Trail Asian Open in Bandai on the halfpipe and in slopestyle. At the 2009 Burton US Open at Stratton Mountain Resort, he won the slopestyle. He finished the season in second place in the World Snowboard Tour overall standings. In January 2010 he won the Slopestyle at the Winter Dew Tour in Snowbasin . In the same month he won bronze in the Slopestyle at the Winter X Games . In the 2010/11 season he won the Relentless Big Air in Stuttgart , the Oakley Arctic Challenge in Oslo in Slopestyle, the Toyota Big Air in Tokyo and in Slopestyle at the US Snowboarding Grand Prix 2011 in Mammoth . He took third place in slopestyle at the Winter Dew Tour in Breckenridge , at the Burton European Open in Laax and at the Burton US Open at Stratton Mountain Resort. In January 2011 he won bronze in the Best Method competition at the Winter X Games in Aspen . At the Winter X Games Europe 2011 in Tignes , he won gold in slopestyle. He finished the season in ninth place in the overall tour standings. At the 2012 Burton Canadian Open in Calgary , he won in slopestyle. In February 2012, he won gold in slopestyle at the 2012 Snowboard World Championships in Oslo. That same month he took second place in the Toyota Big Air in Sapporo and first place in slopestyle at the US Snowboarding Grand Prix in Mammoth .
At the beginning of the 2012/13 season, Guldemond won the Big Air competition at freestyle.ch in Zurich . This was followed by a second place in the Slopestyle season at the Winter Dew Tour in Breckenridge and another win at the US Snowboarding Grand Prix in Copper Mountain . This was also an FIS World Cup race and thus his first World Cup race and his first World Cup victory. At the Burton US Open 2013 in Vail , he reached third place in slopestyle. In his first Olympic participation in Sochi in 2014 , he finished 15th in slopestyle. In December 2014 he won the Slopestyle at the Winter Dew Tour in Breckenridge . In February 2015, he came second in the slopestyle at the US Snowboarding Grand Prix and World Cup races in Mammoth . In the 2015/16 season he took third place in slopestyle at the US Grand Prix and World Cup races in Mammoth and in Big Air in Boston . At the 2016 Snowboard World Championships in Yabuli , he came 37th in Slopestyle and fifth in Big Air. At the end of the season, he came 14th in the Freestyle World Cup and seventh in the Big Air World Cup.
