Chausseehaus Hassel is a district of the municipality of Hassel in the Stendal district in Saxony-Anhalt .

geography

The district Chausseehaus Hassel is located two kilometers west of the village of Hassel on the northeastern edge of the Stendal forest on the border with the Hanseatic city of Stendal in the Altmark . In the south of the village, the border ditch Chausseehaus Hassel flows to the west as well as the ditch from Hassel in the north.

Neighboring towns are Jarchau in the north, Hassel in the east, the Tannensiedlung in the southwest and Borstel in the west.

history

The construction of the Chaussee Stendal – Arneburg began in 1853. After the work was completed, on July 29, 1857, the construction of a Chausseegeldhebestelle before Stendal was announced. Then the Chausseehaus was built. Until 1892 the street was for the use Chausseegeld required.

The first residents settled in 1867. In 1871 there was the Chausseehaus Hassel residential area belonging to the municipality of Hassel .

In 1890 the inn, the restaurant "Chausseehaus Hassel" was built. It still existed in 2005 and died afterwards.

On October 1, 1998, a non-profit limited company , the "Wohnheim Chausseehaus Hassel gGmbH" was founded. It is run by the Chausseehaus-Hassel e. V. supports. The residential and funding facility for people with disabilities is well integrated into the place. More than 20 people live there in several houses, mostly in single rooms. Parts of the facility are barrier-free and wheelchair-accessible. It is an established partner for disabled people in the Stendal district.

Religions

The evangelical Christians from the Chaussehaus Hassel belong to the evangelical parish of Hassel, which belonged to the parish of Jarchau. Today they are supervised by the parish area Arneburg the church district Stendal in Propst Sprengel Stendal Magdeburg of the Evangelical Church in Central Germany .
