The Chilean military ordinariate is a military ordinariate in Santiago de Chile and is responsible for the Chilean armed forces .
history
The military ordinariate in the Republic of Chile cares for members of the Chilean armed forces of Catholic denominations and their families with pastoral care. It was established by Pope Pius X on May 3, 1910, initially as a military vicariate and in 1983 elevated to a military bishopric.
