Agricultural Bank of China ( ABC or AgBank , Chinese 中國 農業 銀行 / 中国 农业 银行 , Pinyin Zhōngguó Nóngyè Yínháng - "Chinese Agricultural Bank") is a Chinese , partly state-owned company with headquarters in Beijing . The company was founded in 1949. Branches of the Agricultural Bank of China are located nationwide in the People's Republic of China and in Singapore . With 496,000 employees, the credit institution is one of the largest banks in China. With a turnover of 115.7 billion US dollars and a profit of 27.8 billion US dollars, it is the world's sixth largest company according to Forbes Global 2000 (as of 2016).
In April 2007, ABC fell victim to the largest bank robbery in Chinese history. Two bank employees looted around US $ 6.7 million in Handan . You were convicted in a court case.
