Choi Jung-sik (born August 12, 1983 ) is a South Korean ice hockey player who has been under contract with High1 in the Asia League Ice Hockey since 2005 .

Career

Choi Jung-sik began his career as a hockey player on the Kyungbok High School team . From 2002 to 2005 he played for the team at Korea University , with which he won the 2003 South Korean Cup . In 2005 he moved to Kangwon Land in the Asia League Ice Hockey . With the team, which has been called High1 since 2007 , he was able to win again in 2006, 2007 and 2008 in the South Korean cup competition. in the Asia League it was enough to make it into the playoff semifinals.

International

For South Korea, Choi Jung-sik took part in the U18 World Cup in 2000 and 2001 in Asia-Oceania Division 1 and in the U20 World Cup in 2003 in Division III.

At the 2004 Division I World Cup , Choi made his debut in the South Korean men's team , but had to accept relegation to Division II. There he played at the 2005 , 2006 , 2007 and 2009 World Championships . At the Winter Asian Games in Changchun in 2007 and in Astana in 2011 , he won bronze medals with the South Koreans.
