resume

Korda is the only child of the British writer Michael Korda and was born in New York City in 1962. Since he does not want to commit himself to one gender, Korda often appears in public in women's clothes. He describes himself as a “ transgendered person ”, but does not see himself as a transsexual person.

In 1992 he founded in Delaware, the Church of Euthanasia (CoE), with demands like planet Save the, kill yourself ( Save the planet, kill yourself ), or Thou shalt not procreate ( Thou shalt not procreate you , see. Antinatalism ) the rapid Criticized population growth . The CoE is officially recognized as a religious community in the United States . According to its own information, the CoE already had several hundred members in the United States in 1996.

According to Korda, humanity is responsible for the destruction of other forms of life through its dominance and must therefore be decimated. The founder of the religion has called himself Reverend Korda since the organization was founded and campaigns for the earth to be saved through suicide , abortion , cannibalism and sodomy .

In Germany, Korda was best known for his two singles Save The Planet, Kill Yourself and Sex Is Good , which were released in 1997 and 1998 on DJ Hell's renowned Munich techno label International Deejay Gigolos .

His first album Six Billion Humans Can't Be Wrong was also released in 1999 on International Deejay Gigolos. Originally, a photo was supposed to be used for the cover that showed Korda in an incinerator at the Dachau concentration camp . The reviewers Oke Göttlich and Jörg Sundermeier criticized Korda in an article in Jungle World with reference to this announcement by the CoE:

“It seems that Korda uses every means for the success of the 'special personality'. Obviously, being an anti-Semite is part of it. "

- Oke Göttlich , Jörg Sundermeier : Jungle World No. 29, July 14, 1999

The cover of the publication on Gigolo then featured a simple portrait photo of Kordas. The British music magazine NME saw the album mainly as “ excellent techno music ” for a “ nice party ” that was so good that you could almost forget that it was made by a “ totally crazy ” person.

For the 2003 single I Like To Watch , he produced a music video in which he combined images of reporting on the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001 with excerpts from pornographic films. After the press shop initially refused to produce the single due to the provocative cover design, there were delays in production. The organizers of the Dutch Lowlands canceled a planned appearance by Korda in the run-up to the festival due to the publication and critical reporting in the Dutch press. The record label Null Records eventually released the single along with a statement justifying the use of the images of the attack in the video. The theme of Korda's piece of music is the " obscenity of uninhibited repetition and use of these images in the context of the most varied of interests ".

In 2003 his album The Man Of The Future was released , which received average reviews. In 2019, after 15 years without new releases, the album Akoko Ajeji followed on the Berlin label Perlon .
