Christopher Lamb (born June 21, 1989 ) is a retired American ski jumper .
Career
Lamb started ski jumping at the age of six. Ten years later, he was inducted into the United States' junior national team. On September 17, 2005, he jumped the first time in Italian Predazzo in the FIS Cup , an international jumping. From 2007 Lamb jumped in the Continental Cup . His best result in this competition was a 19th place on February 27, 2011 in Zakopane, Poland . At the Junior World Championships 2007 in Tarvisio , he reached 57th place in individual jumping on the normal hill. At the Junior World Championships in 2008 in Zakopane, Poland , he reached a 32nd place in the individual and eighth place with the team. At the Junior World Championships in 2009 in Štrbské Pleso he could not repeat this success and landed in the individual on the 61st and was tenth in the team competition. On February 15, 2009 Lamb was in the US team for the first time for the World Cup jumping in Oberstdorf . He and his teammates Michael Glasder , Anders Johnson and Nicholas Fairall finished the jumping in 10th place.
In March 2010, Lamb took part in the ski flying world championship for the first time in Planica . For the individual competition he could not qualify as 38th and in the team competition he finished tenth and last with the US team. On February 18 and 19, 2012 in Brattleboro he achieved his first podium finishes in the FIS Cup with two second places. A year later, on February 16 and 17, 2013, he won the two FIS Cup competitions in Brattleboro and thus achieved his only two victories in international FIS competitions.
Lamb had his only start in an individual competition in the World Cup on January 26, 2014 in Sapporo , which he finished in 62nd place. No qualification was held for this competition, all registered jumpers were allowed to start in the first round. His last international competition was an FIS Cup jumping on February 14, 2015 in Brattleboro, which he finished 17th.
