Cedric Christopher "Chris" Oliver (born July 15, 1985 in Kernersville , North Carolina ) is an American basketball player who played in the basketball league for BG 74 Göttingen, with whom he won the EuroChallenge in 2010 , and the Walter Tigers Tübingen was active. With JSF Nanterre he won the French championship in the LNB Pro A in 2013 , where he was injured in the decisive phase at the end of the season.

Career

Oliver played during his studies at Radford University in his home country for the high school team Highlanders in the Big South Conference of NCAA . He started his professional career in 2007 in the second German ProA league for the Kaiserslautern Braves. There, in the 2007/2008 season , the small forward was able to reach the season record for the most field throws made per game from the near and middle distance. Behind Roderick Trice , he was runner-up in the “Player of the Year” category. Both were committed to the 2008/09 basketball league by the previous year's promoted BG Göttingen from the top division. In contrast to Trice, Oliver stayed in Göttingen for the 2009/2010 season, in which they won the EuroChallenge 2009/10 and reached the play-offs for the German championship for the second time in a row . Then Oliver also changed and went to league competitor WALTER Tigers from Tübingen , with whom he achieved relegation in the basketball Bundesliga 2010/11 .

For the 2011/2012 season Oliver signed a contract in the top division LNB Pro A with SIG Basket from Strasbourg in France . After a year in Strasbourg, Oliver moved in France to last year's promoted JSF Nanterre and became French champions with this team in 2013. In the play-offs, however, Oliver was injured when his team defeated his former club from Strasbourg in the final series. At the beginning of the 2013/14 season, Oliver played for the former Hungarian champion Szolnok Olaj KK in the ABA League and the EuroChallenge 2013/14 , before he moved back to France in January 2014 to relegated Basket Dordogne from Périgueux , who moved to the LNB Pro B tries to rise again.
