Christopher Chris Wong (born April 22, 1995 ) is an Australian ice hockey player who has been under contract with Melbourne Ice in the Australian Ice Hockey League since 2011 . Since 2017 he has been playing in the southern hemisphere summer for Boro / Vetlanda HC in Swedish Division 2 , the fourth-highest division in the country.

Career

Chris Wong began his career as an ice hockey player in the youth department of the Finnish club Järvenpään Haukat . Since 2011 he has played for Melbourne Ice in the Australian Ice Hockey League , in which he won the Goodall Cup , the Australian championship, with the club in his first season and again in 2012 and 2017 . In 2011 he also achieved success at the H Newman Reid Trophy as the regular season champion . In the following southern hemisphere summers he sometimes played again for Finnish junior teams. In years when he did not, he was on the ice for junior teams from Melbourne in the Australian Junior Ice Hockey League . Most recently, in addition to his assignments for Melbourne Ice, he was active for the Melbourne Jets in the lower-class Ice Hockey Victoria Premier in the 2016 season and was able to win this with the team. Since 2017 he has been playing in the Australian summer at Boro / Vetlanda HC in the Swedish Division 2 , the fourth highest division in the country.

International

For Australia, Wong first took part in the U18 World Cup of Division III 2011 in the junior division and achieved promotion to Division II at the tournament in Taipei . In Division II, he then played with his team at the U-18 World Championships in 2012 and 2013 . He then played at the U20 Junior World Championships Division II in 2014 .

In the men's area, he stood for the first time at the World Championships Division II in 2017 in the line-up of his country , scoring the 3: 0 against Belgium a hit. He also played in Division II at the 2018 World Cup .
